Write to Grow Workshops

The Write to Grow Workshop Program can be tailored for any audience, from high school students to elders in long-term care. Workshops are offered on a variety of topics related to mindfulness, personal growth, and wellbeing, encouraging participants to reflect and use the written word as a tool for building a well-rounded, balanced life.

Each workshop follows a similar structure: participants read 2-3 pieces of writing—usually poems, but sometimes a parable or excerpt from a longer piece, such as a blog post—relevant to the topic, complete 2-3 reflective exercises that culminate in an original piece of writing, and engage in discussion with one another.

Participants are walked through the writing process in manageable steps designed for beginning writers, making the creative process accessible and less intimidating.
